Authors Of Books & Practical Mannual
Many Professors are and were actively
involved in writing books, practical manual etc. Dr. S. Muktibodh is one of the
co-authors of prestigious publication ‘M.P. Hindi Granth Academy in chemisty for
B.Sc. II yr. Dr. R.G.Varma, Dr A.K. Gharia & Dr. S. Muktibodh
are the author of “ Lecture notes in chemistry” Ramprasad & Sons Publication
Agra. Dr A.K. Gharia & Dr. Kiran Dixit are co-authors in their text book of
chemistry for B.Sc. III year. “Ram Prasad Publication-Agra. Prof. Atul Thakkar is
also author of various books published by “ Shiksha Prakashan” for B.Sc. I &
II. Apart from this practical manual were developed for B.Sc I, II & III yr.
by almost all faculty members notably Dr Kumud Modi, Dr. R.G. Varma, Professor RB.
Patel, Dr. A.K. Gharia, Dr. Geeta Sarsan,
Prof. Ketan Topiwala, Dr. Aparna Gandhe, Prof. Dhaanjay Dwivedi, Prof. Atul Thakkar
in both Hindi & English, Dr. S. Muktibodh is working on writing text book for
P.G. Student on Group Theory &
application to quantum mechanics.
Academic Activities
This Department works quite regularly
as per our own academic calender. Classes started from 5th July & the practical
too. Some of our routine activities are:

Panorama Of The Department
This department occupies about 564.09
Sq. cm. area in the main building of the college. This is located at first floor
right in front of Principal’s office.
Two big Laboratories of capacity about 70 & 50 students are these along with
a Laboratory of Instrumentation for both U.G. & P.G. students. Two Balance rooms
of capacity 20 students & a well furnished seminar hall is the important asset
of this department. A huge store room along with large no. of chemicals maginifies
its strength. We have sophisticated instruments such as Flame Photometer, Polarograph,
Polarimeter, pH meter, colorimeter, Spectionic 20, refractometer, potentiometer,
conductometers & nephlometer which are being used by both students & researchers.
About hundred Chemical balance, five electronic balance OHP, Melting Point instruments
& a computer are also available here.
Seminar/Workshop
In the process of academic upliftment
many of us participated regularly in orientation and refresher courses. Apart from
this we have organized a national seminar on (i) Group theory & Spectroscopy
(ii) Drug. A small work shop on “Chemical analysis of food stuffs” adulteration
was organized recently. The interesting feature of this workshop was that the practical
& necessary information was delivered by students of P.G. Classes.
Research & Project
Prof. Dhananjay Dwivedi perused a
project sanctioned by UGC on Environmental
Chemistry. Dr. R.G. Varma, Dr. A.K. Gharia, Prof. R.B. Patel, Dr. S. Muktibodh,
Prof. Ketan Topiwala, Prof. Atul Thakkar are also involved in research activities.
